Britt Quigley is a designer based in the Uptown neighborhood of Minneapolis. Developing skills like patternmaking and sewing have been life-affirming for Britt as she has always been a creative person with big ideas who lacked technical training. She takes inspiration from the masters of avant-garde ready to wear, such as Rei Kawakubo at Comme des Garcons, Ann Demeulemeester, Junya Watanabe, and Rick Owens. Britt’s design practice hinges on her fascination with time and its nonlinear nature, and clothes making as a somatic healing experience. Her 2025 collection, titled Offerings, is a meditation on holding memories as deities, and dressing the statues that stand at the altar.
A head-on view of model Irene in the first look of Britt Quigley’s collection- a cream colored, hooded dress. Paired with the grommeted mink pelt belt (also a Quigley original) as well as a dramatic fake brow, Irene looks ready for a post-apocalyptic prom.
